Orientation/Refresher Courses

Supported by the Academic Staff College of the University, the Department offers, from time to time, the Orientation/Refresher Courses to the teachers of various colleges and universities.

A Refresher Course on Alternative Economic Theories (see details) is scheduled to be conducted during 12-9-2011 to 2-10-2011 (coordinators - Dr. B.K. Dutta and Dr. U.K. De).

The list of Orientation/Refresher Courses conducted by the Department in the past is given below:

  • 2009: UGC-Sponsored Refresher Course from 17th June 2009 to 7thJuly 2009. The course covered the theme Recent Developments in Economics.
  • 2007: UGC-Sponsored Refresher Course from 10th September 2007 to 29th September' 2007. The course covered the theme Modern Trends in Economics.
  • 2003: UGC-Sponsored Refresher Course from 27th August to 16th September 2003. The course covered the theme Emerging Issues and Recent Development in Economics


 

 

    E-JOURNAL
Journal of Alternative Economic Analysis
The Journal focuses on the research contributions to various upcoming approaches to analysis of the functioning of real-world economies in different countries. It welcomes original research articles/papers on agent-based computational, evolutionary, old (new) institutional, behavioral, ecological and environmental economics.
    E-BULLETIN
Quarterly Bulletin of the Department
The Department publishes a quarterly bulletin to publicize the research output of high quality emanating from the research work/activities of its faculty members and research scholars.

Current Research Work in the Department
A number of research topics, especially on the economy of the upland areas, are currently being investigated in the Department.
